The Development of Platino-Calixarenes TRAPPING PLATINUM HYDRIDES IN MOLECULAR CAVITIES

چکیده
Hydrido complexes, especially of the platinum group metals, have a pivotal role in homogeneous catalysis (1). They appear as intermediates in many catalytic cycles, including hydroformylation, asymmetric hydrogenation, hydroxycarboxylation, and oligomerisation of olefins. In order to perform highly selective hydrido-mediated catalytic reactions it is essential that ligands are present which allow both fine-tuning of the M-H bond reactivity and proper discrimination of incoming substrates, with thc latter being especially important for enantioselectivity. A major limitation of presently available platinum metal hydride catalysts concerns the freely accessible reactive metal centre. With such species, there is no easy way to discriminate between incoming substrates of different shape. A difficult challenge to be overcome during the development of the next generation of hydride catalysts is to locate the platinum metal hydrides inside well-defined

The investigation of inclusion behavior of Solvent Violet 9 with 4-sulfonatocalix[n]arenes and its recognition to DNA.
The inclusion behavior of Solvent Violet 9 (SV9) with 4-sulfonatocalix[n]arenes (SCXn) (n=4,6,8) was investigated at various pH values by ultraviolet-visible spectroscopy. SV9 is able to form an inclusion complex with calixarenes. Different absorption behaviors were observed for the dye with the various host calixarenes. The molecular binding abilities were affected by the configuration of the ...
متن کاملMolecular dynamics simulation and docking studies on the binding properties of several anticancer drugs to human serum albumin
Disposition and transportation of anticancer drugs by human serum albumin (HSA) affects their bioavailability, distribution and elimination. In this study, the interaction of a set of anticancer drugs with HSA was investigated by molecular dynamics and molecular docking simulations. The drugs' activities were analyzed according to their docking scores, binding sites and structural descriptors. ...

In supramolecular chemistry synthetically designed organic constituents interact noncovalently, in a directed and specific way to form host–guest complexes of higher complexity. The ability to tailor the molecular interplay with respect of chemical design, specificity, and molecular switching opens up the development of new molecular materials for artificial molecular recognition, molecular org...
متن کاملGeneration of Cisplatin-Resistant Ovarian Cancer Cell Lines
Ovarian cancer is the most lethal gynecological cancer in which cisplatin-based treatment plays fundamental role as the first line chemotherapy option. However, development of platinum-resistance is a critical and poorly understood problem in ovarian cancer treatment. Although in vitro generation of platinum-resistant ovarian cancer cell lines is a long established approach to uncover the molec...
متن کاملThe binding assessment with human serum albumin of novel six-coordinate Pt(IV) complexes, containing bidentate nitrogen donor/methyl ligands
The interactions between platinum complexes and human serum albumin (HSA) play crucial roles in the distribution, metabolism, and activity of platinum-based anticancer drugs. Octahedral platinum (IV) complexes represent a significant class of anticancer agents that display molecular pharmacological properties different from cisplatin. In this study, the interaction between two Pt(IV) complexes ...
